Terms of Service

Draft posted 4 November 2026. Not yet in effect.

This is a draft. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and a few details are still being filled in. We'll update this page before Taylr's public launch.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Taylr, a business based in Pennsylvania that is not yet registered as a company ("Taylr", "we", "us", "our"). They cover the Taylr app, the website at https://taylr.pages.dev, Ask Taylr, and anything else we offer under the Taylr name (together, the "Service").

Please read them. By creating an account, starting a free trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Health and Safety Disclaimer, and our Subscription, Free Trial and Refund Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Section 15 contains an arbitration agreement and class action waiver. It affects how disputes are resolved. You can opt out within 30 days.

1. Who can use Taylr

2. What Taylr is, and what it isn't

Taylr is a general fitness and wellness service. It builds a workout plan from what you tell us and adjusts it as you train.

Taylr is not:

Nobody at Taylr is acting as your physician or healthcare provider. Using Taylr does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-patient or trainer-client relationship.

Full details: Health and Safety Disclaimer.

3. How your plan is made

Your plan is generated automatically by software. A rules engine selects exercises, sets, reps and weights from your answers, your workout history and your feedback. Ask Taylr uses artificial intelligence (AI) to explain your plan and suggest changes, which the rules engine checks before anything is applied.

Our workouts and safety rules are based on established training guidelines. During the beta, they have not yet been reviewed by certified personal trainers; that review will happen before public launch. No person reviews each user's individual plan, session or AI response before you see it. Software and AI can make mistakes. You are responsible for deciding whether each exercise, weight and session is right for you.

4. Your health, your choice, your risk

Exercise carries risk, including injury, illness and, rarely, death. By using Taylr, you agree that:

5. Free trial and subscription

Full details, including how to cancel: Subscription, Free Trial and Refund Policy.

We may change prices. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it does.

6. Your content and feedback

7. Our content and your license to use Taylr

The Service, including the app, software, rules engine, plans, workouts, videos, images, text, the Taylr name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law.

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial fitness use, as long as you follow these Terms.

8. What you agree not to do

Don't:

9. Ask Taylr and AI

10. Third-party services

Taylr works with services we don't control, such as Apple, Google, our database host and our AI provider. Your use of them may be covered by their own terms. We're not responsible for them. Links to other websites are for convenience only.

11. Changes to the Service

We're a small, growing company. We may add, change or remove features, workouts or content. If we make a change that materially reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you, and you can cancel.

12. Ending your account

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

We do not promise any particular result, including weight loss, strength gains, body change, or improvement in any health condition. Results depend on many things we don't control.

Some places don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

These limits apply to every theory of liability, even if we were told the damage was possible. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Release. To the fullest extent the law allows, you release us and our owners, staff, contractors, trainers, reviewers and partners from claims for injury or harm arising from your exercise or physical activity, except claims for gross negligence or willful misconduct. If you're a California resident, you waive California Civil Code §1542, which says: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."

Indemnity. You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

15. Disputes: informal resolution, arbitration and class action waiver

Talk to us first. Before filing a claim, email brandonbarris3@gmail.com with your name, a description of the issue and what you want. We'll try to resolve it within 60 days.

Binding arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either of us may ask a court to stop infringement of intellectual property. Arbitration will be run by the American Arbitration Association under its consumer rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Class action waiver. You and we may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action.

Opt out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing brandonbarris3@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name, account email and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration.

If this section is found unenforceable, disputes will be resolved in the courts described in section 16.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be heard in the state or federal courts in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to those courts. If you live outside the United States, you may also have rights under the laws where you live that these Terms can't take away.

17. Apple App Store terms

If you got Taylr from the Apple App Store:

If you believe content in Taylr infringes your copyright, send a notice to brandonbarris3@gmail.com with: your contact details; the work you believe is infringed; where it appears in Taylr; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you're authorized to act; and your signature.
