Subscription, Free Trial and Refund Policy
This is a draft. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and a few details are still being filled in. We'll update this page before Taylr's public launch.
The short version
- Building your plan is free. Your first month of membership is free.
- After the free month, membership is $9.99 USD a month (plus any tax) until you cancel.
- Cancel any time, at least 24 hours before your trial or billing period ends, to avoid the next charge.
- Payments aren't refundable, except where the law requires. You can still ask, and we'll look at every request.
1. Free trial
- Your free month starts when you start your membership.
- We won't charge you during the trial.
- We'll remind you by email [and in the app] 3 days before your trial ends, with the date of your first charge and how to cancel.
- If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your membership renews as a paid subscription on the day it ends.
- One free trial per person.
2. Billing
- $9.99 USD a month, billed on the day your trial ends and on the same day each month after that.
- If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it affects you. You can cancel before then.
3. How to cancel
Tell us why you're leaving. When you cancel in Taylr, we'll ask you to choose a reason (for example: too expensive, not using it, missing a feature, an injury or health reason, or something else) before your cancellation is confirmed. It takes one tap and helps us make Taylr better. "Prefer not to say" is always an option, and it never stops you from cancelling.
- Bought through the App Store: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Taylr → Cancel Subscription. Apple handles billing, so we can't cancel it for you.
- Bought on our website: [HOW TO CANCEL ON THE WEB, once web checkout is decided], or email brandonbarris3@gmail.com.
- After you cancel, you keep membership until the end of the period you've paid for. Your plan and history stay in your account unless you delete it.
4. Refunds
- Payments are non-refundable and all sales are final, except where the law requires otherwise.
- We don't give partial refunds for unused time in a billing period.
- You can still ask. Tell us why you're asking: email brandonbarris3@gmail.com with the email on your account, the date of the charge and your reason. We'll look at every request and reply within 5 business days.
- App Store purchases: Apple decides refunds for purchases made through Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't refund App Store charges ourselves.
- Where the law gives you a right to a refund (for example, in the EU or UK), we'll follow it.
- Website purchases: if we approve a refund, it goes back to the original payment method. Banks can take 5–10 business days to show it.
5. If something goes wrong
If you were charged by mistake (for example, during your free trial or after you cancelled), email brandonbarris3@gmail.com and we'll fix it.
6. Changes to this policy
We'll post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change affects what you pay, we'll tell you first.
