Health and Safety Disclaimer

Draft posted 4 November 2026. Not yet in effect.

This is a draft. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and a few details are still being filled in. We'll update this page before Taylr's public launch.

Please read this before you start. It's part of our Terms of Service.

We are not doctors

Taylr is a general fitness app. We are not physicians, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians or any other licensed health professional, and Taylr does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Nothing in Taylr, including your plan, workouts, videos, articles and Ask Taylr replies, is medical advice or a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional who knows you.

Why we ask health questions

Taylr asks about your health (for example, heart conditions, chronic conditions, medications, joints, pain, pregnancy) only to choose safer workouts for you. Our software uses your answers to limit or remove certain exercises, slow your progression, or ask you to confirm that a doctor has cleared you.

The health questions are not a medical exam, diagnosis or assessment of whether exercise is safe for you. They can't catch every condition or risk. A "no" to every question doesn't mean exercise is safe for you.

Talk to a doctor

We recommend you talk to a doctor before starting any exercise program, and especially if you:

Whether you see a doctor, and whether you follow their advice, is your decision. If you choose to start or continue training without a doctor's clearance, you do so at your own risk. If a doctor's advice differs from anything in Taylr, follow your doctor.

Stop if something feels wrong

Stop right away and get medical help if you feel:

In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Taylr can't call for help and doesn't monitor you during workouts.

Exercise has risks

All exercise carries risk, including muscle strains, joint injuries, falls, dropped weights, heat illness, and, rarely, heart attack, stroke or death. These risks exist even when exercise is done well.

By using Taylr, you confirm that:

About your plan

Your plan is made automatically by software and AI, using rules based on established training guidelines. During the beta, those rules have not yet been reviewed by certified trainers. No trainer or health professional reviews your individual plan. Weights and reps are estimates. See How Taylr Builds Your Plan.

Results

Everyone's body is different. We don't promise any result, including weight loss, strength, body change, or improvement in any health condition. Any examples shown are illustrative.

Nutrition and body weight

Taylr doesn't give nutrition or diet advice. Any calorie number shown is a rough estimate, not a medical or dietary recommendation. If you have, or have had, an eating disorder, please talk to a health professional before using features about body weight or calories.
